I commenced working with clay in a full-time manner in 1972. Initially, my work was predominantly wheel thrown, white and rather clean, now however I find myself handbuilding with grungy clay and woodfiring the work for 80 plus hours.
The slower pace of working and firing is a healthy antidote to the hectic pace of today's world and occasionally the process produces a piece of work that intrigues me.
