Lene Kuhl Jakobsen

Lene Kuhl Jakobsen is a ceramic artist from Heidelberg, born in Denmark. Lene completed a degree in ceramic at art school and worked as a potter before coming to Australia in 1985. Lene has taken part in selected exhibitions, been an artist-in-resident, and her work has featured in ceramic magazines. She has won several ceramic awards and has work in Art Collections.

Lene's work is mainly functional, wheel-thrown in fine white stoneware. She is often inspired by movement, life and colour of the sea and shellforms. The shapes express simplicity and elegance enhanced by various glaze and decoration techniques.
