I have a fascination in my soul with all things ancient. I lived and travelled in Asia and the Mediterranean for many years and the wonder of that time has stayed with me.
I have incorporated many long-forgotten ancient scripts in my work for they evoke mystery and remind me of the awe-inspiring sacred places I visited.
The sculptured masks are fired in a tepee kiln, which is a primitive firing technique. Colours and effects achieved in the firing are random, so each face is unique.
The Tibetan series l am working on is a limited collection of 250 works, numbered, signed and professionally framed.
I hold a Diploma of Arts-Ceramics and I am currently the newsletter editor for the Valley Potters.
Working with clay, there always seems to be another undiscovered path to follow, like my own personal pilgrimage.
